With just a few simple steps, you can resolve those disputes before they escalate to the chargeback stage.
A cardholder doesn’t recognize your transaction on their billing statement. Rather than contacting you, they contact their bank to dispute the charge.
If the credit card issuer is part of the ResolveLab network, the bank won’t immediately initiate a chargeback. Instead, they’ll notify you of the dispute.
You’ll receive the easy-to-understand notification by email or SMS text when there is a pending dispute notification.
Use the details listed within the notification (date, amount, card number, and so on) to identify the order in your internal systems. Note the deadline for responding to the dispute.
Prior to the deadline, refund the disputed transaction however you would normally process refunds, then mark it “refunded” in your dashboard.
